Xantrex DC Disconnects 60 Amp Auxiliary Breaker
To provide DC system overload/disconnect equipment for everything passing in or out of the battery bank, here’s an alternative that meets all the code requirements, and costs substantially less. Best used with systems that only use DC power for one or two loads, the Xantrex DC Disconnects are available in two basic versions, 175 amps and 250 amps with a variety of options. Breakers are rated for 25,000-amps interrupting capacity at 65 volts, and are UL-listed for DC systems up to 125 volts. Main breaker lugs accept up to #4/0 AWG fine strand cable, no ring terminals required. .75', 2', and 2.5' knockouts are provided. Space is available inside the disconnect for the DC current shunt required by most monitors. The Negative/Ground bonding block provides lugs for up to four 4/0, two #1/0, two #2, and four #4 cables. A properly sized DC Disconnect with a 60-amp auxiliary breaker for the PV input gives all the protection an inverter-based system requires. USA.
