Our smaller middle-sized Emergency Power Kit features a 1,500 watt inverter that can provide limited-use, emergency 120VAC power. Lights, refrigerators, TVs, computers, and handheld power tools are some typical examples of appliances this system can power (but not all at once). This emergency power system is based around the Trace DR1512 inverter, which will surge up to 3,200 watts to start motors and tools, and deliver up to 1,500 watts continuously. If overloaded it will shut off automatically without damage.With very conservative use this could provide basic lights and refrigeration for about two days. More battery capacity will allow longer run times or heavier use. You may choose either conventional wet-cell batteries, or maintenance-free gel-cell batteries. Our kit includes appropriate battery interconnect cables for battery choices listed below, DC fusing, and inverter supply cabling. All components made in the USA.
