The direct-intertie Sunny Boy series is a third-generation design. These are high-voltage input inverters that use series-strings of PV modules. This eliminates the need for large wire and greatly eases long-distance Sunnv Bov 2500 transmission. Maximum power point tracking delivers the highest possible wattage under all conditions. All Sunny Boy inverters feature powder-coated, stainless steel, outdoor-rated NEMA 4 cases that can be mounted inside or outside, and will deliver full-power operation at temperatures up to 60¦C 140¦F. Ground-fault protection is built into each inverter, and five-year warranties are standard. Sunny Boy offers several closely related models at 700, 1,100, 1,800 and 2,500 (pictured)watts.
