These direct-intertie Sunny Boy high-voltage input inverters offer ground-fault protection, eliminate the need for large wire and greatly ease long-distance transmission. They feature powder-coated, stainless steel, outdoor-rated NEMA 4 cases that can be mounted inside or outside and will deliver full-power at temperatures up to 140¦F. Several closely related modelsłat 700, 1,100, 1,800, 2,500 and 6,000 watts ł all featurering high-quality German engineering with high-efficiency, redundant processors, easy data communications, and Maximum Power Point Tracking. They require high-voltage series-strings of varying numbers of PV modules (depending on model, modules used, climate, budget and output requirements). Conversion efficiency is an excellent 93.5% to 94%. Internal power use is less than 7 watts during operation, less than 0.1 watts during standby, and the inverter disconnects from the utility at night to eliminate any phantom load. The slick 2-line, 40-character backlit display option scrolls through: Instantaneous AC Watts, DC Volts, Daily kWh, Total kWh (since the inverter was turned on), Operating Hours and Inverter Status.
