This passive batch-type heater is one of the simplest, yet most durable water heaters we've seen. Plumbed inline ahead of your conventional water heater's inlet, it will preheat all incoming water. Rated at approximately 30,000 Btu/day, the 4' x 8' collector is housed in a top-quality bronze-finished aluminum box with dual glazed cover. There are no rusting components. The dual glazing has tempered solar glass on the outside, and lightweight, non-yellowing or degrading Teflon film on the inside. High temperature foam board insulation is used on all sides. The 30, 40, or 50 gallon sizes are produced by varying the number of collector pipes inside. Exterior size is the same for all models. ProgressivTube has a ten year warranty. All labor, transportation, and parts are covered for the first five years and parts only for the second five years. The Valve Kit includes hard-to-find-locally hardware.
