Here's the minimum you need for a grid-intertie system with battery backup. It consists of the Trace SW4048 inverter on a Power Panel with a C40 controller option. Code-required ground-fault and combiner boxes are included, plus a common sense-required lightning protector, and heavy-duty battery cabling. It employs four 120-watt PV modules on a low-profile roof or ground mount, with capacity for about 36 more similar PV modules in the future.
