Heliodyne has produced the absolute best solar collector in the business since 1976. Absorbers feature 360¦ wrap-around fin to tube bonding that will never delaminate. The black chrome selective surface is an excellent heat absorber that drastically reduces radiating the heat off again. Headers are extra-large 1-inch diameter, with wonderful brass O-ringed unions at all four corners for adaptability. Multiple collectors will couple up without modification. One pair of blind unions are required per system to block off the two unused ends. The glazing is tempered 5/32'' low-iron solar glass with an anti-glare finish,that is held in a rubber gasket all the way around. Frames are exceptionally sturdy bronze-anodized aluminum extrusions, with a built-in mounting flange around the entire perimeter. The mounts of the Heliodyne clamp to this flange as shown in the picture. They are certified for wind loads up to 50 lb/sq.ft., that's a bit over 100 mph out in the real world. lease note: this item ships freight. Cost and lead time vary.
