The Staber HXW-2504 model washer has a brushed stainless body and base. The stainless washer drum has an easy pop-open hatch that stops under the top access door. The patented hexagonal washer drum runs in an octagonal stainless tub, which creates a pumping action between the two different shapes for better cleaning. Because the drum is fully supported at both ends, it can do a higher rpm spin speed to remove more water and save energy on drying. This inverter-friendly washer will run happily on a 1,500-watt or larger inverter, and averages only 150 watt-hours per load. Water use is only 16 gallons per standard load (+ 6 gallons with prewash). Designed and built by a company that spent 20 years rebuilding worn-out commercial washers first, this washer is simple, built to last and easy to repair. Controls include variable water temperature; water level; multiple wash cycles; an automatic dispensing system for pre-wash detergent, detergent, bleach and softener; and the safety lid locks when in spin cycle.
