This motion sensor and socket screws into any standard socket. It uses a 9-volt battery to run the motion sensor, while letting the inverter sleep. When motion is sensed it closes a relay for the light, which wakes up the inverter, which runs the light while you stumble in. When the light turns off, the inverter returns to sleep mode. Too cool.
