From Yuasa-General Battery, the world's largest battery manufacturer, these consist of six propylene cells in what the industry calls a steel tray. Most folks would call it a steel box with a flip top. Features include heat-sealed cell covers, molded lead cell connectors, and ree freight! Yep, free freight in the continental U.S. to a business with a forklift, or to a trucking terminal. You must have a forklift to move these heavy, preassembled cells. Purchase multiple trays for higher system voltages. With proper maintenance, these cells will last 15 to 20 years. Cycle life expectancy is 1500 cycles to 80% depth of discharge, or 5000 cycles to 20% depth of discharge. Interconnect cables are only needed between 12-volt trays; no cell interconnects required.
